Dear Mr. Orsmby Gore,
You will recollect that I had a conversation with you regarding the request of the Chinese Seamens' Union that the ban in respect of their recognition at Hong-Kong by the Government there should be removed. You undertook to make enquiries in the matter and let me know in due course what could be done.
I sincerely hope you will be able to make a favourable recommendation in this matter and that the ban will be lifted by the Hong-Kong Government.
Yours faithfully,
Auchdower
